Introducing Fall

kids in fall

I don’t care what they say.  It’s September 21st and I say it’s the first day of Autumn.  Autumnal Equinox.  I am a self-declared seasonientist and I am right about this.  At least in my own world.

So to kick things off this past weekend, lovely friend, soul-sister singer, and msb encourager – Meg and I gathered at her warm and cozy pumpkin-scented home to share in a treat and an inspiring film while the rain came down outside.  A little iphone documentation is presented for your enjoyment…

Meg’s house is adorable, cozy, colorful, hip, old-fashioned, modern, and exotic at the same time.  Most importantly, she’s a rock-star at setting the mood and she already has her Fall and Halloween decorations out.  I was so so happy about that (Hint to Fall-decorators…try out T.J. Maxx for some affordable crafty trinkets)

And uh…. probably not at out most attractive folks.  but this is what you get to do during those chilly nights at home… not care (what should we do?  let’s do serious faces.)

So what about you all?  What have you already done to get prepared for the new season?  What do you most look forward to?

I bought a glass pumpkin candy dish and filled it (well not quite full) with candy corn. Tomorrow I will roast a chicken and Tuesday I will make chicken and dumplings with the leftover chicken. That’s how I usher in fall y’all!
