Food Hangover

Last night I attended the March of Dimes auction.

As always, it’s so great to see so many people gathered for causes such as this.

Did you know that preterm births have risen 36% since the early 1980s? And babies born just a few weeks too soon are at a greater risk of Cerebral Palsy and other developmental delays.  Visit this site to see how you can help.

Louisville is known for some fantastic restaurants and I think every single one of them was present last night offering lamb-chops and glazed pork and pastas and polenta and fried avocado and barbecue over white mashed sweet-potatoes.  You’ll have to trust me that the food descriptions were a lot more detailed and tantalizing than that.  I ate myself into a stupor and can barely remember.  It was good.  Real good.

This post could easily have been an addendum to “The Joys of Running.” One of the reasons I run is because I refuse to go on any diet. Last night, running afforded me a guilt-free evening of gluttony with the finest. Looking forward to our next outing at Wild Eggs. Fantastic food and article, Erin!

While I definitely enjoyed looking at the food, I was really hoping to see a better pick of the writer. I mean some of us have to live vicariously through our friends who get to look all hot for a cause. Just saying.
