A House without Books is like a Room without Windows

(Post Title is quote by Heinrich Mann)

This post could easily be 5 “pages” long but I’ll do my best to keep it as brief as possible (which is probly not gonna be very brief…i’m just sayin’).  As an avid A+ reader and a fan of charming design (and a gal whose fave home-style adjective is “cozy”)…  I just can’t say enough about the bookcase.  There are so many styles and choices.  My #1 dream of my future home is to have my very own library.  Big or small…no matter.  We will sit on books if we have to (hey- that’s not a bad idea).

Hey friends, what are your favorite bookshelving ideas?  How do you store your books?  What are your absolute favorite books and where do you like to read them?

When all is said and done, i just need 2 main ingredients to make me happy… 1. comfy chair 2. big window looking out on scenic views (preferably green farmland and a pond). And fireplaces are almost a necessity.

Nice post Wren! My current shelving of choice is the BILLY bookcase from Ikea. I bought it with the intention of creating a floor to ceiling, wall to wall library. My favorite part about it is the two long glass doors that I added to each bookcase. I put my books under glass because they are precious to me!
