‘nother day gone by

How was your Memorial Day friends?!?
Do anything extroardinarily fun?? How about just fun?
I tell ya- having the day off work was more than enough for me. SO NICE. But I’m a super lucky gal and have more than I deserve including the greatest friends in the world (no offense against your friends) and a roomie that likes watching movies on my decrepid laptop with me. Here’s a little of what my day (and Sunday night) consisted of…
………………………………………………………………………………………….
I posted this yummy recipe a couple of weeks ago. Made it for myself last weekend. Turned out so good, i made it again for some friends and had them over for brunch on our most perfect back-deck-porch-tree-house. The sky was overcast, the temperature was wet & cool, and the breeze was just right. Here are some (mediocre) iphone pics
Top: Friend Darren’s coffee skillz; Middle: Pre-brunch chatting; Bottom: The Tarts!
Another one of my former lovely roommates (i lost her to a husband as well) came in the midst of busy farming time. Wish the asparagus we planted a couple of months ago wouldn’t take 2 YEARS!! to mature. Do yourself a favor and follow their farming adventures here
The night before was spent out in a charming – but sweaty-hot- old Kentucky cabin. Celebrating my current roomie Jessica’s engagement (seriously – live with me, you’ll be married in months).
The festivities ended with good, bare, confessional convo with a couple of girlfriends. But first there was this documentary (pretty good)
and more hang-time with my Jess – Isn’t she lovely?? (i’m really gonna miss these times)
That’s it. Tell us what you did. (and Starling and Bea are back from their beach trip. Perhaps we’ll be lucky enough to get some stories –and pics–from them soon).

I went to the Indy 500 on Sunday, then to a visitation for a friend who passed away.
(sorry to kick the thread off on such a bummer note!)
