Book Knook

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Little Starling turns out to be a reader, because I am super-excited about introducing him or her to one of my favorite children’s authors, Adam Rex. Rex is extremely clever, witty, and also an amazing artist. I currently own his books Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich, Frankenstein Takes the Cake (both are humorous rhyming books about classic movie monsters), and The True Meaning of Smekday (hilarious account of an alien invasion).  Here’s a sample page from Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich that I found on Amazon.com in which Frankenstein tries borrowing some sandwich ingredients from his neighbors: Read more…

I fell in love with a diaper bag. Yes, a diaper bag.

My mother and I went window shopping this past weekend, “Ooooohing” and “Awwwwing” over baby things. I found this diaper bag at Pottery Barn Kids, and now I have eyes for no other.
