What have you been watching?
I think the 2009-2010 television season has been a great one. My husband and I have set several new series recordings on our DVR, and here are a few of the new shows that we enjoy.

See. Serve. Invest.
This past weekend my husband and I saw the Louisville premiere of The New Sudan. The New Sudan chronicles the Sudanese civil war (which was the longest civil war in Africa), and the ravaging effects it had on Southern Sudan.
The stunning and sobering images coupled by William Mapother’s narration beautifully shows the story of the Southern Sudanese people which will leave you yearning to find out how you can help.

Balloo-minating
Today I ran across some images of LED lit balloons, most notably on the site for illoom balloons, and I am immediately planning an outdoor, nighttime party just so I can use them. Illoom balloons are just like regular party balloons, except they come with an LED light that will glow for up to 15 hours. You can blow them up yourself, or use a helium tank.
