I should have hung out with the FFA boys a lot more!!

When I finally live on my farm, I’m calling up Steel and Fork immediately for my few perfectly suited statement pieces.

Or i’ll just marry me a man that’s good with a hammer large and dangerous machinery

Truly, though, these John Deere-esque items might be even better in our modern metropolitan temporary dwellings, or even with settled suburbanites, standing out carefree and confident in their rusty, ruddy call to get to work and get dirty.

Read more about this handyman&woman  here

and check out their shop.  They’re selling bigger items like this side table made out of a recycled farmall tractor.

and smaller accents like a homegrown yet quirky pigs fly pillow

Really though, i’m just inspired to think of all the ways big obtrusive messy items can be turned into furniture and decoration and art.

What’s the most creative deco “mash-up” you’ve ever put together?  Ever used the outside world to create a sturdy piece for the inside?

i love it…that table is amazing. also, the title of this post cracks me up…just thinking about those FFA boys at FC. so, to continue our conversation over blog post comments…not sure Crawford county is for me…a little too far away from the city. :) but, i decided today after reading your post that my theme song right now is “Where the Green Grass Grows” by Tim McGraw. I actually used to listen to it all the time when I was in Mission Year…it was the only “white people” c.d. at the library in our neighborhood..well, that and Martina McBride. Am I allowed to say that, you know what I mean. I bought it today and put it on my ipod. you should listen to it…it was continue to make you dream of the countryside. this was long. love, T
